He made the statement on X, Ukrinform reports.
"Iran's threats are unjustified and groundless. The regime in Teheran is a direct accomplice to Russian aggression against Ukraine, fueling Moscow's criminal war with weapons that have killed Ukrainians since 2022," the diplomat said.
Sybiha stressed that Iran has no standing to pretend to be a victim, let alone justify its threats with absurd references to the UN Charter.

"But it will not succeed. Russia's attacks on freedom of navigation will be at the spotlight of today's emergency UN Security Council meeting and we expect strong responses by the international community," Sybiha added.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces had struck a warship and vessels in the Caspian Sea that were involved in transporting military cargo from Iran.
Iran later accused Ukraine of attacking an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea.
Iran actively supports Russia in its war of aggression against Ukraine. Moscow, in turn, is providing assistance to Tehran amid its conflict with the United States.
