Court sets pre-trial restrictions for organizer of weapons exhibition in Kyiv region targeted by Russian ballistic missiles

“The investigating judge [in this case] is Yaselskyi. This hearing is being held in open court,” the court stated.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office announced on Facebook that the prosecutor’s office is insisting that the suspect be held in custody without the right to bail.

According to media reports, the suspect’s name is Vasyl Honcharuk.

As reported by Ukrinform, as of the morning of Monday, July 27, the death toll from the Russian strike on a weapons exhibition in the Kyiv region on the afternoon of July 24 had risen to 11 people.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the arms exhibition in the Kyiv region, which the Russians struck on July 24, should not have taken place, and reminded that with an enemy like Russia, it is absolutely unacceptable to hold any arms exhibitions with large crowds of people and in proximity to residential buildings.

In addition to the investigation into this Russian strike, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding possible dereliction of duty during the organization and conduct of the event, which led to the loss of life and other serious consequences.

Law enforcement officers detained the main organizer of the weapons exhibition in the Kyiv region and notified him of the charges against him.
