Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Amendments to Article 12 of the Federal Law On Personal Data and several legislative acts of the Russian Federation.
The federal law is intended to increase legal protection of personal data owners in the cross-border transfer of their personal data.
In particular, it clarifies the criterions of putting foreign states on the list of states ensuring an adequate protection of the rights of personal data owners.
