FFWSLC The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Piute County in central Utah... East Central Beaver County in southern Utah... * Until 1000 PM MDT. * At 659 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Beaver County. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Beaver River into the Grove area within Beaver. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. The debris flow has not yet reached the upper camera in Beaver Canyon. Once the debris flow reaches the upper camera at the diversion dam, expect the flow to reach the Grove area 1 to 1.5 hours later. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
