Russian attack on Kyiv damages exits to Vyrlytsia metro station underpass

The entrances and exits of the Vyrlytsia metro station underpass in Kyiv were damaged during Russia's overnight attack on August 1.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

It is noted that the stained glass was cracked and the polycarbonate covering was damaged, some parts were torn, while others were ripped off.

"Despite the damage, the station opened on schedule and is operating as usual. The safety of passenger transportation and train movement is fully ensured," the Kyiv City State Administration emphasized.

It was also reported that during the air raid alert on the night of August 1, nearly 9,500 people took shelter at Kyiv metro stations.

As Ukrinform previously reported, nine people were killed and another 30 were injured in Kyiv as a result of the overnight Russian attack.

Residential and non-residential buildings in five districts of the capital were damaged and destroyed.
