The Operational Command North has refuted Russian claims that they captured the village of Ryzhivka in the Bilopillia community of the Sumy region, calling the claim fake news.

According to Ukrinform, Vadym Mysnyk, a spokesperson for the Operational Command North, made this statement in a comment to Kordon.media.

“Today, Russian Telegram channels spread the news that the enemy had allegedly ‘liberated’ the village of Ryzhivka. ️In reality, this is yet another fabrication by Russian propaganda,” commented Vadym Mysnyk, spokesperson for the Operational Command North.

He noted that the village of Ryzhivka remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Ukrainian army units are holding their positions and fully carrying out their assigned combat missions.

“Such false claims by the occupiers about ‘capturing’ territories are a regular practice of information manipulation,” Mysnyk added.

As reported a few days ago, the Russians claimed to have taken control of Mala Slobidka in the Esman community and to have “captured” Nova Sich and Mohrytsia in the Yunakivka community. This information is also untrue.
