The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center stated this on its website, Ukrinform reports.
"On August 8, moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight in the western, northern, and Vinnytsia regions, and during the day across Ukraine except in most western regions. In some areas, heavy rainfall, hail, and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are also forecast," the weather service said.
According to the forecast, Sunday will be mostly dry across Ukraine, with only brief showers and thunderstorms expected in the southeastern part of the country during the day.
Forecasters said northerly winds of 5–10 m/s are expected.
Over the weekend, nighttime temperatures will range from 15°C to 23°C, while daytime temperatures will reach 24–30°C. On August 8, extreme heat of 35–37°C is forecast in southern and eastern Ukraine.

Moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected, with locally heavy rainfall overnight in parts of the Kyiv region. Northerly winds of 5–10 m/s are forecast.
Temperatures in the capital will be around 20°C at night and 25–27°C during the day. In the Kyiv region, temperatures will range from 18–23°C overnight and 24–29°C during the day.
