* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Central Cook, De Kalb, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake IL, McHenry, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and Southern Will and northwest Indiana, including the following areas, Jasper, Lake IN, Newton and Porter. * WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are developing along a stalled surface front. Atmospheric conditions are favorable for heavy rainfall with localized rainfall rates exceeding 2 inches per hour late this evening through the overnight. Slow storm motion and the potential for multiple rounds of rainfall will increase the threat for flooding in some areas.
