White River at Muncie. .Major flooding is occurring on the upper White River at Muncie and Anderson. Record flooding is forecast for Anderson. Additional heavy rainfall is possible tonight, and amounts of 1.5 to over 2 inches were included in the river forecasts for the upper White. Locally higher amounts could bring higher crests and longer flooding. On the middle and lower White,rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches were included in the forecast. Moderate flooding is forecast along middle portions of the White, with minor flooding downriver of Indianapolis. These crests could change depending on where the heaviest rain falls tonight. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...White River at Anderson. * WHEN...Until early Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Record flood is in progress. Northeast and northwest portions of Anderson are under water. Water is several feet deep in residential, commercial, and municipal areas.
