Whitewater River at Brookville. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...West Fork of Whitewater River at Alpine. * WHEN...Until Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, This is similar to the FEMA 1 percent flood. Flooding occurs along the West Fork of the Whitewater in southern Fayette and northern Franklin Counties, including in Alpine, Nulltown and Laurel. In Connersville, homes between Dora Avenue and the river on the east side of Connersville incur flooding, as well as along Grand Avenue in the south side of Connersville. Structures impacted in Laurel are mainly along and west of West South Street. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 18.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling, remaining below flood stage although the river may briefly rise again tomorrow evening before falling once again. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.7 feet on 05/14/2002.…
