Russian forces launched a double strike on the Buryn community in the Sumy region early on August 14, killing two people, including a nine-year-old boy. Four others were injured.
According to Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Facebook.
"A child and his mother were killed in a targeted double strike by the enemy in the Sumy region," the statement said.
Early in the morning, Russian forces struck a private home in the Buryn community with two jet-powered UAVs.
The attack caused extensive damage and sparked a fire. A 29-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son were killed at the scene.

Russian forces shelled 28 settlements in the Sumy region over the past day, killing one person and injuring five others.
