Vladimir Putin sent greetings to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on the country’s national holiday, Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Russia-Pakistan relations are developing very successfully. Moscow and Islamabad maintain fruitful cooperation in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian, and other spheres, and work closely together on important regional and global issues.
I am confident that we will continue our constructive joint efforts to further expand the full range of our cooperation for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Russia and Pakistan, and for strengthening international security and stability.”
