Over the course of the week, Russian invaders launched 62 missiles—most of them ballistic—at Ukraine, along with more than 1,550 attack drones and nearly 1,560 aerial bombs.

According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Facebook.

“This week alone, 13 regions came under attack. The enemy launched more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 aerial bombs, and 62 missiles at our cities and communities. Most of them were various types of ballistic missiles,” the head of state noted.

According to him, emergency services are currently working at the sites of this morning’s and last night’s Russian strikes.

“In Kyiv, fires were quickly extinguished, and emergency response operations are now underway. The Russians wounded six people in the city and the region. Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih were also hit by ballistic missiles. Everywhere the Russians can reach with their ballistic missiles, they are striking civilian infrastructure. In Kryvyi Rih, two people were killed and another 14 were injured. One person was killed in Sumy. My condolences go out to their families and loved ones,” the President added.

He also emphasized that the Russians have launched a new wave of drones; in particular, air raid alerts have been ongoing in many regions since this morning.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to all emergency services—units of the State Emergency Service, the police, and medical personnel—who are the first to arrive at the sites of attacks, assist people, and act swiftly to save lives and restore normalcy.

“It is very important that this dedication of our people be complemented by new steps from our partners to protect our skies. When North Korean ballistic missiles destroy infrastructure and take lives here in Europe, we cannot allow European interceptors to simply sit in warehouses. We must protect lives. Russia must be stopped. New aid packages literally mean lives saved and infrastructure protected every day. I thank every partner who is helping with this,” Zelensky emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed the need to expedite decisions on strengthening Ukraine’s air and anti-ballistic defenses, as every delay comes at the cost of human lives.
