The President signed Executive Order On the Security of Critical Infrastructure in the Russian Federation.
The Executive Order stipulates that, should an economic entity fail to take timely measures to ensure the security of critical infrastructure facilities in the Russian Federation, or fail to restore such facilities within the required timeframe, as per Government resolution issued at the President’s instruction, temporary administration may be introduced over all or part of the movable or immovable property of such an economic entity.
Critical infrastructure includes fuel and energy facilities, industrial facilities, communication facilities, utility systems, transport and logistics infrastructure, including transport and logistics complexes, energy facilities, including nuclear energy sites, essential public facilities, critical and potentially hazardous facilities, as well as other sites of high importance for the security and economic stability of the Russian Federation and the functioning of its population.
