Audio: Exemption for merchant marine in the North and Northeast should be voted this year.

The Senate is expected to vote this year on a complementary bill that extends until January 8, 2032, the exemption from the Additional Freight for the Renewal of the Merchant Navy when the origin or destination is a port in the Northern or Northeastern regions.PLP 80/2026This fee impacts the cost of transporting goods by sea along the Brazilian coast and also in river and lake transportation.
