No significant activity by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups is currently being observed along the Ukrainian-Russian border.

Andrii Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, made this statement during a television broadcast, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Fortunately, there is no enemy activity involving their sabotage and reconnaissance groups,” Demchenko said.

At the same time, he noted that Russian troops are carrying out a large number of shelling attacks on border areas in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. In particular, the enemy most often uses unmanned aerial vehicles, but also employs artillery and aircraft, dropping guided aerial bombs.

The spokesperson separately noted that Russian troops often use shelling to cover the actions of their assault groups, particularly in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russia currently does not have a strike force near Ukraine’s northern border, but a potential threat from that direction remains.
