According to Ukrinform, Mykola Kalashnyk, Ukraine’s Minister of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport, announced this on Facebook.
“I offer my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Taras Didych, head of the Dmytrivka community, who was killed in a Russian attack on the Kyiv region. He was one of the first to arrive at the scene of the attack to help people. Because he couldn’t do otherwise,” Kalashnyk said.
According to him, “For over 30 years, since 1994, Taras led the community, lived and breathed its problems, and knew every street and every village. He always stood by his people. He did not abandon them even during the Russian occupation—he was there, offering support and assistance, and keeping the community together during one of the most terrifying periods.”

As reported by Ukrinform, on August 28 in the Bucha district, a Russian attack caused a fire in a warehouse, followed by an explosion. There were fatalities and injuries. More than 200 people were evacuated from the scene.
