The environment will remain conducive for periods of showers and thunderstorms through much of Monday, some of which will be capable of producing moderate to heavy rainfall. Training of storms could lead to an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall causing rapid run-off and flooding of low-water crossings and low-lying areas. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including the following areas, Apache Junction/Gold Canyon, Cave Creek/New River, Central Phoenix, Deer Valley, Dripping Springs, East Valley, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Globe/Miami, Mazatzal Mountains, New River Mesa, North Phoenix/Glendale, Northwest Pinal County, Pinal/Superstition Mountains, Rio Verde/Salt River, San Carlos, Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, South Mountain/Ahwatukee, Southeast Gila County, Southeast Valley/Queen Creek, Superior and Tonto Basin. * WHEN...Until noon MST today. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Another round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible tonight through Monday morning.
