Why are hundreds of sheep trampling these farmlands?

It may look like trouble, but the sheep are actually helping. As seed squash enters harvest season, farmers drive flocks into the fields in Cocodala City, west China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, to trample vines and eat leaves and weeds.
