
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force Command's press service said this in a Telegram post.
"As of 09:30, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 103 enemy UAVs, including Shahed-type UAVs, Gerberas, drones of other types and S8000 Banderols, in the north, south, east and center of the country. Hits by enemy aerial attack weapons were recorded at 15 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at six locations," the statement said.
Read also: Fire breaks out near Russian air defense unit outside Sochi after attack – social mediaAccording to the press service, beginning at 18:00 on September 3, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with a Kh-31P guided air-to-surface missile launched from the Black Sea and 121 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type UAVs (about half of them jet-powered), Gerberas, Parodiya decoy drones and S8000 Banderols. The drones were launched from Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk, temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The aerial attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The attack is still ongoing, with enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
Ukrinform reported earlier that 240 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded along the front line on September 3.
